A short first-use workflow for Songcards 0.0.8. Use it to record a real song, find it again, and make the first backup.
Start with the song in front of you.
Songcards works best when you create a record for an actual song, not a blank catalogue you plan to fill later.
Suno generation fields are optional when they do not apply. The core Songcard library is still useful for lyrics, credits, rights and release details.

Open Songcards
Start the Windows desktop app and return to the library.

Create a Songcard
Give the song a title. Only the title is required.

Fill in song identity
Add artist, project, status, language, duration, genres and tags where useful.

Add creative information
Keep the core idea, working lyrics, final lyrics and production notes with the song.

Add Suno details if applicable
Record model, plan, creation mode, song URL, voice, style and parameters when they matter.

Save and return
Go back to the library and confirm the Songcard is where you expect it.

Find it again
Use search, filters, grouping and sort order before the catalogue gets large.

Create a full backup
Export a complete backup and store it somewhere outside the machine you are protecting.
