Quick start

The fastest way to understand Songcards is to make one real Songcard. This walks through the whole first-use flow, end to end.

   Open Songcards

   Launch the app from the Start menu. It opens straight to your library — empty, the first time.

   Create a Songcard for a real song

   Choose "New Songcard" and pick an actual song you're working on in Suno — not a test entry. Real data makes the rest of this easier to judge.

   Fill in the core song identity

   Title, primary artist, project, status, language and tags. This is what you'll search and filter by later.

4. 4

   Add prompt, lyrics and generation information

   Paste the Suno prompt or style block, the working and final lyrics, and note the model and plan you generated it under.

   Close the app

   Quit Songcards normally. Nothing further to do — your card saved locally as you worked.

   Reopen it

   Launch Songcards again. Your card should be exactly where you left it.

   Find and edit the Songcard

   Use search or the status/project filters to find it again, then make a small edit to confirm changes persist.

   Create your first complete JSON backup

   Use Backup & data to export a full backup file. Store it somewhere outside the app's own folder. See backup, restore, import and export for the difference between backup types.
