Purchase, licence, digital-delivery and consumer-rights information for Songcards.
Seller and scope
Songcards is developed and sold by Harsvik & Co, a Norwegian sole proprietorship, under the HugByte publishing brand. These terms apply to purchases of the Songcards desktop application through the official Songcards website and checkout.
Product
Songcards is a Windows desktop application delivered digitally as a one-time purchase. No Songcards account is required, there is no Songcards cloud library, and the application stores its working data locally on the user's machine.
The current installer is unsigned, so Windows may display a SmartScreen warning. See the installation documentation for the currently documented supported Windows environment and installer guidance.
Price and payment
The price shown before checkout is the applicable purchase price. Stripe processes payment for Songcards checkout.
Digital delivery
Songcards is delivered electronically after successful payment using the email address supplied during checkout. The customer is responsible for supplying an email address they can access.
If delivery fails or the download email does not arrive, contact songcards@hugbyte.no.
Immediate delivery and withdrawal rights
Where a consumer has a statutory withdrawal period for digital content, Songcards is supplied immediately only after the customer expressly requests delivery before that period expires and acknowledges that the statutory right of withdrawal is lost when digital delivery begins, where applicable law permits this.
Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.
Refunds and defects
Where a statutory right of withdrawal has validly ended following the customer's request for immediate digital delivery, a change of mind after delivery does not by itself create a refund entitlement.
This does not affect rights relating to defective or non-conforming software, duplicate charges, failed delivery, or other mandatory rights under applicable law. For genuine purchase or support issues, contact songcards@hugbyte.no.
Licence
A Songcards purchase grants the customer a personal, non-transferable licence to install and use Songcards for their own private or professional creative work. Songcards may be used in commercial creative and music work.
The customer may not resell Songcards itself, redistribute the installer, share or publish copies of the application for third parties, or represent ownership of the Songcards software itself.
The customer keeps ownership of their own songs, lyrics, prompts, metadata and other creative records. Harsvik & Co does not claim ownership of user-created data merely because it is stored in Songcards.
Backups and local data
Songcards is local-first. Users are responsible for maintaining backups of their Songcards data. See Backup & restore for the public backup overview.
Updates and future versions
The purchased version may be used under the licence granted by these terms. Future updates, releases or major versions may have separate availability or terms.
Governing law and mandatory consumer protection
These terms are governed by Norwegian law, except where mandatory consumer protection rules applicable to the customer provide rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or reduced by these terms.
