Is Songcards a subscription?
No. Songcards 0.0.8 is sold as a one-time desktop app purchase.
Where is my Songcards library stored?
Your Songcards library is stored locally by the application on your own Windows machine.
What happens to my records if HugByte is no longer available?
Your working library is local. Full JSON backups and Markdown exports do not depend on a HugByte cloud library. Keep backup copies outside the Windows machine you are protecting.
Is each Songcard a Markdown file?
No. The working library is stored locally by Songcards on your computer. JSON is used for full backup and restore. Markdown is an optional format for import, export and use with tools such as Obsidian.
Does Songcards upload my lyrics or song information?
No. The desktop app does not upload your lyrics or song information to HugByte.
Do I need Obsidian?
No. Obsidian is optional. Songcards can import and export ordinary Markdown using the Songcards Obsidian format when that workflow is useful.
Is Songcards available for Android?
No. Songcards is currently a Windows app. Exported Markdown files can still be read on Android with tools such as Obsidian.
Why might Windows show a SmartScreen warning?

Does Songcards connect directly to Suno?
No. You enter details, settings and source links yourself. Songcards does not need access to your Suno account.
Does Songcards store my audio files?
No. Songcards documents the song and can store references and publication links, but it is not a system for storing or managing audio files.
Do I need to use Suno?
No. Songcards is especially tailored to workflows used by Suno creators, but the core Songcard library is also useful for artists, songwriters, composers and producers who want to keep song identity, creative history, lyrics, credits, rights and release details together. Suno-specific fields do not need to be used when they do not apply.
